The Copper Country Skating Academy hosts several annual events for our skaters, families and guest.  Information and registration forms for each event can be found by clicking the links below.

The Copper Country Skating Academy typically hosts four test sessions per year. An August high-test session, a November high-test session during the Turkey Trot competition, a January single panel Low-test session, and a March high-test session.

The Turkey Trot Competition is held each November. Competitive skating is a fun way for skaters to improve their skills and perform their programs. Skaters at every skill level can register to compete in basic skills, dance, freestyle, artistic, compulsory and interpretive events. Medals and trophies will be awarded.

Each year, The Copper Country Skating Academy teams up with the Michigan Tech Learn-To-Skate program, and some local guest skaters (Michigan Tech Figure Skating Club, dads and/or High School hockey players) to present the Spring Ice Show.

The Holiday Recital is a free performance where CCSA skaters have the opportunity to select their own music and costumes with a holiday theme.

Awards and board member elections highlight this potluck dinner event. Skaters receive certificates for tests passed and an annual yearbook with information and pictures of all CCSA skaters.
